THE BIG GARDEN

At Dwight and Bette Trumble’s farm, 12400 Buffalo Road.

Work Schedule:
        Evenings:

            Tuesdays  5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

                       
The days will need to be flexible and adjusted due to rain, weeds and harvest needs.

To sign-up as a worker, contact the church or just show-up and join in the fun and the work.

THE HARVEST

We have harvest greens,
lettuce, radishes, beets, and peas.  They were shared with our community and the Pearl Food Pantry in North Omaha.

JOIN US IN THE BIG GARDEN

Everyone is welcome to work in the BIG GARDEN.  The regular hours are Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 PM, but come whenever you can.  The church provides hoes, and hand weeding is needed as well.  We are beginning to need to harvest beets and lettuce; with beans, tomatoes, peppers and other veggies following soon.  There is something for everyone to do.  If you can’t come to the garden, please pray for the workers and for those who receive the food the BIG GARDEN produces,

The BIG GARDEN is located at 12400 Buffalo Road on the north side of the road.  You can park on the grass just west of the garden or in the driveway.  Please come be a part of this mission project.

BIG GARDEN NEEDS:

POP FLATS

We need donations of the cardboard flats that are used
to package pop and other items. They will be used to transport the vegetables off the farm and to the church.

WORKERS

Since God’s ripening of the vegetables doesn’t always ripen on our schedule, morning workers fare needed or harvesting.  Let Jody or Pastor Marvin know if you can help in the mornings.  And, don’t forget every Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
